5 Worst National Flags

It's difficult to imagine what the creator of the Bosnian flag was thinking. A yellow Isoceles triangle straddles a dark blue background with white stars running at an angle from top to bottom. I am sure there is a perfectly good explanation for the absurdity of the flag but it's sheer flamboyance takes it into our top five

The flag of Argentina is otherwise uninteresting save for the peculiar sun symbol smack in the Center. This symbol is the sun of May and represents the Inca Sun God Inti. It's good to acknowledge culture but some would argue that a National flag is not the place for a funny looking smiley image of the sun. It looks like it was dragged up from the deep dark depths of an hyperactive 5 year old's mind. It's for this reason that we think the Argentine flag is the 4th worst National flag in the World but we love Argentina....really.

The National flag of Mozambique is the only known flag to have a mordern weapon (the AK-47) on it. Granted the flag was adopted from The original flag of the Frente da Libertacao da Mocambique (FRELIMO), the leading political party in Mozambique and the rifle stands for defense and Vigilance one can still not get over the oddity of having a Machine gun superimposed on a hoe as part of a National flag. I guess it could have been worse and the Mozabiquans could have decided to have an image of a Russian tank on a tractor but this flag is bizzare enough to make our top five at number three.

Look into my eyes, you are getting sleepy. While the creator of the Libyan National flag appears to be a lazy minimalist without a creative bone in his body, the Seychellian flags creator must surely have been a drugged out failed hypnotist. It is not unusual for African flags to feature many colours but it is somewhat of an oddity to have the colours in increasing Oblique bands.

The National flag of Libya is green....very green and nothing else. Libya is the only Country that has just one colour for it's National flag. While a lot of African Countries do go overboard in mixing and matching colours on their flags (Seychelles and Uganda comes to mind) Libya have decided to go for the minimalist and lazy approach. It's not very exciting at all but if need be at least Libyans can argue over what exact shade of green constitutes their national flag. I am leaning towards forest green myself but others swear it is more of a harlequin green. Whatever shade you think it is, for sheer laziness and lack of imagination we declare that Libya has argueably the worst and most uninspiring National flag in the World.
